Supporting Information & Documentation to FWISD Office of Legal Services
March 13, 2020, Mr. McCulloch submitted documentation that was compiled over the academic year to justification the addition of rugby as a girls varsity sport in FWISD. Unfortunately, the District was hit by a ransomware virus that week so a hard copy was delivered to Legal Services and copies were emailed to the Trustees and key administrators. Over course COVID-19 hit the United States closing down schools for a protracted period of time. Regardless, FWISD has had four years to correct its Title IX deficiency in athletics so we expect to see a 2020-2021 operational budget that demonstrates corrective action being taken.
Below is the information sheet that accompanied the submitted documentation such as female player signup sheets for a number of high schools. For privacy, the contact information has been blacked out and the signup sheets are not provided here. Since equitable use of facilities is a Title IX concern, documentation was submitted illustrating some samples of unfair treatment.

NSHS practicing on the side of hill over looking an empty baseball field. This was they regular practice space. SHHS practiced on the athletic field after FB practice ended but then had to compete with youth (non-school) soccer clubs for space. |
TTHS practicing at the end of the track waiting for FB practice to end. OD Wyatt HS started practices on the back parking lot after a few weeks they moved to an unmaintained area next to the FB Field. (note: a Federal Prison is about 1000 ft from that area) |
