Junior-side Rugby Program

The Junior-side Rugby Program is designed to provide separate male & female teams for athletes in grades 7 through 12 with a highly competitive experience.   Dependent on the number of committed athletes, 7-a-side and/or 15-a-side will be created to during the spring and summer seasons.  Most competitions occur within the DFW area however teams will travel around the region to play Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana teams.  Teams at the U17 and U19 levels are also encouraged to travel to nationally-recognized tournaments to improve their competition experience as well as gain visibility in front of more collegiate and Olympic-development programs.

The Junior-side Rugby Program to the following age/grade groups:
  • U19 - High School (grade 9 - 12) - Boys & Girls
  • U17 - High School (grade 9, 10) - Boys & Girls (if numbers permit a separate team)
  • U15 - Middle School (grade 7, 8) - Boys & Girls

Junior-side Rugby Teams practice two to three times per week and have an active competition schedule. Personal responsibility to fitness and skill development is essential to be successful and minimize the risk of injury.

Our goal as a club is to develop highly competitive 7-a-side (7s) and/or 15-a-side (15s) travel teams where the junior-side players have at least three years of prior rugby experience and leave the program ready to be impact players at the collegiate / U20 and senior rugby levels.

Seasons (typical)
  • Fifteens - January through April
  • Sevens - May though July
